I write Historical Romance primarily although I have
done a Fantasy series, and a Contemporary Series
(each with 6 books). I have - I think - 54 books in
print, the majority being Historical.
What are your thoughts on good/bad reviews?
Whether you like or dislike a book is a personal taste.
I love the reviews that are favorable, and am grateful
to those reviewers. Bad reviews are as I've said. The reviewer's personal taste. You can't expect everyone
to like everything you do nor can you take it personally
if they don't.
What was your greatest influence to help develop your career as a writer?
I was "born" a writer. My greatest influences were
Historical authors of the 1950s and 1960s. And, of
course, I have to give credit to my high school English
teacher, Miss Anderson; and my history teacher, Sister
Mercedes, who by coincidence happened to be a published
author of Children's historicals.
I watch TV, or I read a good book.
What is your favorite book?
I don't have a favorite book, but I do
like the historicals written by Anya Seton,
and Jan Westcott. They wrote in the 1950s
and 1960s.
If you weren't an author, what would be your next choice of career?
If I weren't an author, I would want to be an actress.
